Checking Activity History

Instructors can gain insight into student engagement by reviewing activity history.

Step 1. In the example below, let's say I want to check student engagement history for Preparation 1.5 (from Quantway Core Virtual Unit 1.5). When on the Learning Map for the unit, you first click on the Preparation 1.5 node.

Step 2. And then I click the History tab at the top.

Step 3. This page will list all your students' interactions with the selected activity. The categories listed below describe the attempts and states of student interaction with the assignment. It is important to note that both the statuses Closed and Stopped indicate non-complete states (that is, no completion of the assignment).

Successful/Not successful = The student's attempt was fully completed and recorded and their score was updated.

Closed = Question answer data recorded (visible in Questions), but no score generated. The student's attempt was ended prematurely, perhaps by closing their browser or browser tab.

Stopped = Question answer data recorded (visible in Questions), but no score generated. The student's attempt was ended prematurely, perhaps by clicking Exit>Discard progress or Exit>Save for Next Time.
